XEEN stands for superb imaging performance and exceptional mechanical processing. The entire XEEN Cinema range from SAMYANG is designed to meet the special needs of film producers. Robust materials, a uniform design and decoupled aperture and follow focus gear rims are just some of the points that reflect the high demands placed on a video lens.
The fast 14/3.1 XEEN Cinema Lens is suitable for full-frame format, internally focusing and versatile due to its relatively wide angle of view. Like all XEEN Cinema lenses, the XEEN 14/3.1 also has a 4K resolution and is identical in design to the other lenses in this line. This means that the overall length, housing diameter and the fixed gear ring distance for the aperture and focus ring are exactly the same for all models. This means that changing lenses, whether in a rig or on a tripod, is quick and easy, even with a follow focus system installed. As is usual with cine lenses, this XEEN lens also features a gridless and infinitely adjustable aperture with aperture values and distance scale that can be read from the side, as well as gear rims for focusing using Follow Focus.
High-quality mechanics and workmanship
Of course, the 14/3.1 XEEN can not only be used with cameras that have a full-frame sensor. Filming is also absolutely no problem with Super 35 mm, APS-C and APS-H camera sensors. The sharpness performance of this lens is impressive even when the aperture is fully open and can be precisely controlled via the 200° long focus.
The lens construction of 13 lenses in 12 groups is built into a robust aluminum tube. The necessary settings on the follow focus or aperture ring are infinitely variable and can be attached to all follow focus systems with a 0.8 mm sprocket. The 9 aperture blades of the 14 mm Cinema Lens ensure an almost circular and beautiful bokeh.

Submitted customer opinions and uploaded media are usually reviewed and published within a few working days. All transferable rights of use of the content provided by you are transferred to Hifi Foto Koch GmbH and its current or future partners and representatives (including but not limited to affiliated companies, service providers, search engines, employees, agencies, branches, joint ventures, suppliers). The content may be used, modified and published by the aforementioned parties at their own discretion without any restrictions in terms of time, content and location. You assume full responsibility for your content.
