The Walimex pro Aptaris Universal XL Mark II Cage opens up even more possibilities. With its additional 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch threaded holes, accessories such as microphones or film lights can be attached even more flexibly. The new and larger handle provides even more carrying comfort. It also has two 1/4 inch and four 3/8 inch threaded holes. The Universal XL Mk II is suitable for all standard cameras, in short, for all cameras whose hot shoe and tripod thread are on the same axis and do not exceed or fall short of the internal dimensions of the cage. Aptaris is simply attached to the camera via the hot shoe of the camera and the camera screw (1/4 inch thread). An absolute highlight is the height adjustability of the cage, which is achieved using four hexagon socket screws. This makes the version suitable for many cameras. Two small stoppers on the camera plate, which can be moved individually depending on the camera, also ensure an absolutely non-slip hold.
Maximum flexibility in use
Thanks to a large number of 1/4 inch threads on all sides and a 3/8 inch thread on the underside, any number of accessories such as microphones or LED lights can be attached as required. Additional flexibility in use is provided by the adjustable handle supplied, which can be mounted at the top, bottom or side as required. This also makes it possible to film close to the ground. Thanks to the adapter plate with the Manfrotto PL 501 standard, Aptaris can also be mounted on a Manfrotto tripod. In any case, access to the battery compartment, memory card, etc. remains unrestricted.
Many expansion and combination options
Aptaris is a system. You can therefore expand the cage with any number of accessories, such as the Aptaris rod module or the shoulder support module. The rod module offers you plenty of space for attaching additional accessories such as a follow focus and a matte box. With a diameter of 15 mm, the rods comply with the industry standard so that they can be combined with all standard accessories. Thanks to the rod module plate supplied, the rod module can be easily attached to the Aptaris system using a sliding mechanism. With the Aptaris shoulder support module, you can turn the cage into a complete rig in just a few simple steps for even more flexibility, especially in mobile use. Of course, you can also expand Aptaris at any time, e.g. with additional hot shoe adapters or a separate L-bracket.
