World's First1 F/2-2.8 Zoom Lens for Mirrorless System Cameras
The 35-150mm F/2-2.8 offers an F/2 aperture at the starting focal length of 35mm, which is wider than conventional fast zoom lenses with a maximum aperture of F/2.8. At wide-angle, the 35-150mm F/2-2.8 thus enables an improved and even more attractive bokeh effect. The higher speed also allows the selection of faster shutter speeds and lower ISO settings to prevent blur and noise.

Versatile focal length range from 35mm wide-angle to 150mm telephoto
The universal zoom range of the 35-150mm F/2.-2.8 combines six different fixed focal lengths - 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 100mm, 135mm and 150mm - as well as all focal lengths in between. This makes the Lens ideal for travel photography because a wide variety of subjects can be photographed with just one lens - from snapshots to expressive portraits to classic telephoto shots. The convenient zoom ring allows quick focal length changes from wide-angle to telephoto without having to take the camera off your eye or stop video recording.

Outstanding image quality throughout the zoom range
The optical design of the 35-150mm F/2-2.8 incorporates four LD (Low Dispersion) and three GL (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements, ensuring outstanding image quality from wide-angle to telephoto. The latest precision technology enables ultra-high resolving power right into the corners of the image and a harmonious bokeh effect without disturbing concentric circles ("onion rings").

Fast and silent VXD autofocus for precise focusing
The 35-150mm F/2.-2.8's fast autofocus system is based on Tamron's proprietary VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor technology. The VXD autofocus focuses on the selected image area with the highest precision, even at large apertures and regardless of the shooting distance. Thanks to responsive AF tracking, moving subjects are reliably held in the plane of focus at the decisive moment. Moreover, since the autofocus operates almost silently, the 35-150mm F/2.-2.8 is the ideal choice for photo and video shooting in situations where absolute silence is required.

Individual configuration with the TAMRON Lens Utility Software
The lens is compatible with the new TAMRON Lens Utility Software developed by Tamron for configuring its own lenses. When the 35-150mm F/2-2.8 Di III VXD is connected to a computer running the software via the separately available TAMRON Connection Cable, various functions can be individually configured as well as the lens firmware can be updated.
