The NTH-100 was developed from scratch, is ergonomically perfectly shaped and looks outrageously good at the same time. For an optimal fit, the ear cups can be precisely adjusted on the headband and then conveniently fixed in place with RODE's innovative FitLok fastener. The headphones use custom-matched 40 mm neodymium drivers, which guarantee coloration-free and completely distortion-free reproduction.
During development, the focus was also on maximum durability.
The stainless spring steel headband has been tested over 20,000 times under extreme pressure, which corresponds to around 25 years of daily use. The connecting cable between the two shells has four strain relief points and is designed for a load of over 25 kg, and the connecting cable and sockets on the ear cups can also withstand a load of 12 kg.
The memory foam ear pads covered with fine Alcantara give the NTH-100 outstanding wearing comfort.
The CoolTech gel integrated into the ear pads also ensures pleasant cooling of the ears from the very first second - ideal for long sessions! The NTH-100 has a rich, yet always comfortable and, above all, constant contact pressure: essential for correct frequency response and maximum noise suppression.
The NTH-100 works with single-sided cable routing. The cable can be connected on the left or right, and both ear cups have a 3.5 mm socket with bayonet lock. Large "L" and "R" markings in the ear cups, a red marking ring on the right cup and corresponding Braille signs (!) on the outside of the cups leave no doubt as to where right and left are.
