Together with the new autofocus, the robust magnesium body and last but not least the compactness, this makes it the ideal companion for photographers and videographers who do not want to compromise. The 24 MP full-frame sensor ensures wide dynamic range and very low-noise image quality thanks to Dual Native-ISO technology. Even higher resolutions are possible with the High Resolution mode, which creates detailed images at 96 MP in RAW or JPG. Another highlight is the internal 5-axis image stabilization, which, in combination with Lens Stabilization, enables up to 6.5 stops longer exposure times without blur.
The improved autofocus uses Deep Learning technology to recognize eyes, head and body for significantly faster and more precise focusing in photos and movies. 24 Megapixel Sensor with Dual-Native-ISO Technology
At the heart of the LUMIX S5 is the 24.2-megapixel full-frame sensor with wide dynamic range and very low-noise image quality even at high ISO values. Dual-Native-ISO technology is used for this purpose, which optimizes image quality in both photo and video modes and minimizes the usual image noise in low-light conditions. The sensor's light sensitivity ranges from ISO 100 to ISO 51,200, ensuring a wide range of use in a wide variety of lighting conditions.
More than photography
Whether you prefer to work with the high-resolution 3-inch touch display or use the large OLED viewfinder with 2.36 million pixels, you can be sure of top-quality images. The eye relief of approx. 20 mm also allows eyeglass wearers an improved view into the viewfinder. The time-lapse and stop-motion functions give you that extra bit of creativity, while photos can now be saved directly as JPEGs in the improved high-resolution mode.
