  • Extreme macro lens
  • suitable for full frame cameras
  • specially developed for extreme macro photography
  • highest sharpness with lowest chromatic aberration
  • Wide-angle construction with extended shooting distance
  • compact design

The LAOWA 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra-Macro Lens enables extreme macro shots of the highest quality with all full-frame cameras at an affordable price. It has a thin barrel, is lightweight and has an extended working distance. The magnification scale ranges from 2.5:1 to 5:1, enabling macro photographers to capture objects of different sizes to fill the frame.

The design, consisting of 8 elements in 6 groups and one low dispersion element, guarantees outstanding sharpness at different image scales and reduces chromatic aberration to an absolute minimum to prevent color fringing. The wide-angle design provides a different perspective to telephoto focal lengths, as a larger section of the background can be seen. The Lens was specially developed for macro photography and can only be focused in this area. Thanks to the extended shooting distance (40mm at a magnification of 5x), the object can be reasonably illuminated.

The focus is set manually, as is the aperture setting. Thanks to the low weight of less than 450 grams and the small tube diameter, the Lens is suitable for outdoor use as well as in the studio or laboratory. An optional tripod clamp is available. This allows the Lens to be attached directly to the tripod head. This offers the photographer better design options from different angles.
